Corrigendum - 25 January 2014

The first sentence of the last paragraph of the editorial “Daunting Scene, Hopeful Signs†on page 7 of Mainstream Annual 2013 (December 28, 2013) should read:

“As it steps into its fiftysecond year, Mainstream pledges, as before, to stand by the progressive forces of the country in their efforts to ensure socio-economic progress while resisting the forces of regression and obscurantism in India and the region to the best of its ability.â€
