Benjamin Netyanyahu, 75 would have been behind bars way back in 2016 on charges of corruption and financial bungling in collusion with chosen business magnates. The trial began on 24 May 2020, in the Jerusalem District Court, with judges Rivka Friedman-Feldman, Moshe Bar-Am, and Oded Shaham presiding, Friedman-Feldman serving as the lead judge.
The Prosecution rested its case in July 2024. Netanyahu’s testimony was scheduled to begin on 2 December, 2024. But his Defence lawyer pleaded for time for Netanyahu to prepare his defence. Heeding to this request the court postponed the trial proceedings and granted time to Netanyahu to prepare his testimony. But on 10 November, 2024 his Defence lawyer sought an additional 10 more weeks
