Was the outgoing Vice President of India Jagdeep Dhankar sacrificed at the altar of the communally surcharged hate spewing Allahabad High Court judge Shekhar Yadav? It seems that saving the skin of that abrasive unapologetic Hindutva judge, who defied the advice of the then Chief Justice of India, to apologise for his perceived misconduct, enjoyed such immunity from this Government that he chose to brazen it out.

A little error of judgement on the part of Dhankar to give voice to the Opposition demand to impeach Justice Shekhar Yadav, seemingly cost Dhankar his job within hours of mentioning from the chair in the Rajya Sabha that the Opposition has mustered enough numbers, implicitly qualifying for acceptance of its motion on the impeachment of the two justices of Allahabad High Court, namely Justice Yashwant Verma, charged with corruption and Justice Shekhar Yadav for his communal misdemeanor.
