A terrorist attack on April 22, 2025 killed 26 tourists in Pahalgam region of Jammu & Kashmir. Government of India pointed its finger at Pakistan for this incident and the Government of Pakistan denied its involvement —we have seen this movie before. As expected, the attack has triggered high tension between the Government’s of India and Pakistan. In wake of the Pahalgam killings, Prime Minister Narendra Modi cut short his tour to Saudi Arabia. One would have expected that he would travel to Kashmir right away on his return to India but no he headed to Bihar; we heard his reactions on Kashmir from an election rally in Bihar in which he threatened punishment
