IDPD Condemns killing of innocent tourists at Pahalgam

Perpetrators must be brought to the book

Indian Doctors for Peace and Development (IDPD) condemns in strong words the killing of innocent tourists at Pahalgam. The perpetrators of this barbaric act should be brought to the book. Such acts vitiate the already volatile atmosphere in south Asia, add to already pervasive tension, increase the arms race and nuclear proliferation. The statement was issued by Dr S S Sooda-Patron IDPD, Dr Arun Mitra - President, Dr Shakeel Ur Rahman - General Secretary, Dr Md Latif- Vice President IDPD and Dr G M Malik- former President IDPD J & K. They appreciated the role of people of the area for help to the injured. The statement highly appreciated doctors and paramedical staff SDH Pahalgam and GMC Anantnag for immediately utilising all their resources in time to save the precious lives of injured people. Govt. Should keep an emergency air ambulance facility to lift serious patients in such situations.
