Karnataka has been the lab for experimenting on various kind of communal agendas. During the previous BJP regime Hijab, Halal, disallowing Muslim traders from the Hindu festival places etc were controversies making headlines every other day and some of them like Hijab were dealt at the judicial level. However, the people in general were not affected by it and the controversies remained located in certain parts of the State only.

In Assembly elections held in Karnataka in 2023 these elements were defeated effectively and during the Congress regime they have been lying low. But once again they seem to have been encouraged with the soft Hindu stand by the Congres on certain issues and became bold to raise their ugly head again.

Amid the raging Waqf controversy in Karnataka, Seer of Vishwa Vokkaliga Maharashtrasansthana math, Shri Kumara Chandrashekaranatha has come out with a statement demanding that a new law should be enacted to DENY VOTING RIGHT TO MUSLIMS in the country. The Seer also claimed that such law existed in Pakistan. He also called for ABOLITION of the Waqf Board.

The Seer said "the Waqf Board, without any records or documents is claiming the right of the farmers’ lands and buildings of various institutions. It is Injustice.".

The Karnataka Govt. has not taken any action against Seer so far for his hate speech. In the meantime, the Seer has come out with another statement saying that the media has "misinterpreted" his statement and it was a "slip of tongue" on his part.

The Govt of Karnataka should ignore the subsequent statement of the Seer, which in any case is a DOUBLE SPEAK, and take immediate action against the Seer which would work as a warning to coomunal forces in the State.
