Member, Indian Republican Army, Chittagong Group. An 18 year old college student when she was arrested while on reconnaissance just a week before the attack on the European Club in 1931. She got bail, went underground & managed to evade the police till 1933. She graduated from Calcutta University in 1940 and joined the Communist Party of India. In 1943, she married Puran Chand Joshi, then General Secretary of the Communist Party of India. She passed away in February 1995, here is the obituary for her written by Nikhil Chakravartty
