To,

Shri Narendra Modi,

Hon’ble Prime Minister,

Government of India,

South Block, New Delhi.

Sub: Request to form a dedicated cell to help Indian citizens abroad or citizens travelling abroad

Respected Prime Minister Modi ji,

The number of Indian students studying abroad as well as Indians working outside India have increased significantly. Similarly, the number of Indians travelling abroad for various purposes has also grown in recent decades.

Unfortunately, many of our citizens face serious difficulties due to accidents and other health issues in foreign lands. In the absence of a dedicated cell in our missions abroad and in the MEA, it becomes difficult for victims of accidents and health issues and their family members to seek any assistance from the government.

We have received many such requests in the past to extend help to our citizens abroad. Many such incidents have been reported in the press as well. Victims of such accidents are often compelled to seek help from private sources or crowdfunding. It is time for the Indian government to establish a dedicated cell to assist such people in foreign countries in their time of need.

Hence, I request you to form a dedicated cell to help such Indian citizens who are facing serious difficulties abroad.

Thanking you,

Yours sincerely,

Sd/-
